Clay furniture is made of synthetic Clay, with a metal “skeleton” inside, to reinforce the structure. All pieces are modelled by hand. No moulds are used in the production, making each piece unique.
The eight standard colors of the Clay series, are black, white, brown, red, yellow, blue, orange and green (all RAL numbers).
The spontaneous and naïve designs of Maarten Baas’ Clay series express artistic vulnerability. Each piece is handmade of industrial clay, covering a steel frame.
Arachnid shaky legs of these products that barely seems to be able to hold the weight of the owner. Visible handprints make this series utterly personal.
